READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY 2024

Spent the day reading to so many amazing kids. I especially loved to hear them share their dreams and hopes for the future. One student wanted to be a unicorn, and another, an astronaut! Lt. Colonel Slazinik turned the pages of FLY, GIRL, FLY as I read the text. We enjoyed a Q & A before the next class joined in on the fun. Sitting amongst the incredible aircraft displayed at the National US Air Force Museum made the day even more magical.

I’m off to the INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S AIR & SPACE MUSEUM in Cleveland Ohio. We will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Jerrie’s Mock’s historical circumnavigation of the globe with a presentation and dinner.

On to Newark, Ohio, the birthplace of Jerrie Mock. We will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Jerrie’s historic flight with a book signing and many other related activities at the WORKS MUSEUM.
